This is a complex, highly regulated product operating at the intersection of tax law, accounting standards, and professional practice: quality isn’t just a technical concern – it is a business‑critical one.This is a founding, senior individual‑contributor role with no direct reports. Your impact will come from expertise, influence across Product, Engineering and QA teams, and the ability to embed AI‑driven quality practices at scale.Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the Barcelona office.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the QA transformation strategy, define strategy, tooling, and execution plans.Audit current test coverage, tooling, and manual testing burden to identify risks and opportunities.Present a detailed QA transformation roadmap (tooling, automation strategy, AI use cases, and prioritised plan for reducing manual effort).Deliver quick wins through targeted automation, improved CI/CD integration, or risk‑based test prioritisation.Build reusable frameworks and practices that the broader team will adopt.Drive active delivery of transformation, including AI‑assisted test generation and anomaly detection.Define and track quality metrics, ensuring they are visible and used across teams.Coach engineering teams, shape practices, and build a case for change through measurable results.Maintain fluency in French and English; Spanish fluency is a plus.Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to health and safety procedures.Success MetricsMeasurable reduction in manual testing effort and time‑to‑release.Adoption of AI‑driven testing practices: test generation, regression detection, anomaly analysis.Improvement in key quality indicators: test coverage, post‑release defect rates, regression confidence.Integration of quality earlier in the development cycle, shift‑left practices embedded.Active use of reusable QA frameworks and automation tooling by the engineering team.Positive stakeholder feedback from Product, Engineering and QA on pace and impact.QualificationsProven senior experience in quality engineering, test automation, or QA leadership within complex software products.Deep expertise in AI applied to software quality: test generation, exploratory testing, regression detection, anomaly analysis, or AI agent orchestration.Experience designing and implementing test automation strategies from scratch (end‑to‑end, integration, non‑regression).Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration for quality pipelines; comfortable proposing and owning tooling choices.Experience with risk‑based testing approaches and quality metrics frameworks.Track record of driving change and upskilling teams without line‑management responsibility.Ability to work in fast‑moving, regulated environments where release quality carries significant business and compliance weight.Fluency in French and English; Spanish fluency is advantageous.Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence without authority across Engineering, Product and QA.BenefitsMedical and dental insurance fully funded by Sage.Flexible benefits: exchange part of salary for meal, transport vouchers, childcare, and training.Well‑being support: free access to the Calm app (up to 5 users), 24/7 counselling and Healthy Mind Coaches.Self‑care and parenting resources through the Cleo app.Versatile working options: flexible hours, shortened Fridays and summer days, and the ability to work from over 40 countries for up to 10 weeks per year via the Work Away program.Annual leave: 23 working days + 5 paid volunteering days.Extended leave: 7 extra maternity days and 5 extra paternity days after one year of service, on top of legal allowance.Financial support: life and disability insurance; salary advances up to 3.5 times monthly net; a €300 net marriage bonus; discounted employee‑stock purchase plan.Learning and development: free premium subscription to external learning platforms.Health and Safety ResponsibilitiesLead by example in fostering the safety culture.Follow established safety procedures and report hazards promptly. xcskxlj Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to preventive guidelines to minimise risks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
