Therefore, being a NEXTER means that your career and talent become meaningful to you and those around you, allowing you to build what matters most to you and reach your next level.We are looking for a talented APS Specialist to join our team for a multinational leader in the banking sector located in Madrid.Key Responsibilities:Provide application production support for Windows-based enterprise applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance.Deploy, configure, and maintain applications primarily on:Microsoft IIS (core requirement)Windows Server environmentsSQL Server databasesSupport application deployments and troubleshoot issues across middleware layers (IIS, Apache, application servers).Perform analysis and resolution of incidents, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.Execute and maintain deployment processes, configuration updates, and application changes.Monitor applications using standard tools (e.G., Geneos, Nagios), identifying and resolving performance or availability issues.Support application migrations to new technology standards and participate in improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain scripts for automation and operational tasks (BAT, PowerShell; Linux shell scripting is a plus).Manage and track incidents through Jira or similar ticketing systems.Provide support for applications running also on Apache or PostgreSQL/Linux environments (nice to have but not mandatory).SkillsEssentialFluent in written and spoken English.Strong experience with Microsoft IIS and Windows Server administration (> 2 years).Solid knowledge of SQL Server, including queries, troubleshooting, and performance basics.Application deployment and support experience (middleware background).Administration of web/application servers: IIS (primary), plus Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere (> 2 years combined experience).Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications in production environments.Scripting: BAT, PowerShell (Linux shell is an advantage).Experience with monitoring tools (Geneos, Nagios).Basic knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL (value-added).DesirableExperience working with Linux (Red Hat).CI tools: Jenkins, Ansible.Communication/integration tools: MQ-Series (IBM), sFTP, CFT (Axway).SharePoint administration (nice to have).Job Conditions & Benefits:Permanent contract.Work Mode: 4 days per month in-person in Madrid.Competitive salary.
