The role sits at the intersection of battery development, prototyping, and manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on execution, pace, and design-for-manufacture in a low-volume, high-complexity environment. The role is well suited to someone who has worked in battery pack development or prototyping, enjoys being close to the hardware, and wants to play a critical role in turning engineering concepts into manufacturable reality. This is not a large-scale automotive serial production role.✛ Key Responsibilities ✛Lead battery pack manufacturing and industrialisation activities from prototype through to scalable, low-volume productionOwn design-for-manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA) considerations across battery packs and energy storage systemsDrive hands-on prototyping, build, test, iteration, and refinement cyclesWork closely with battery, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure designs are robust, buildable, and executableDefine and implement pragmatic manufacturing and assembly processes suitable for a resource-conscious, fast-growing environmentSupport the transition from prototype builds to more mature manufacturing approaches as the programme evolvesInterface with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders on manufacturing-related topics✛ Candidate Profile ✛Strong background in battery pack development, battery systems, or energy storage, with exposure to prototyping and build activitiesExperience operating between R&D and manufacturing, rather than purely in large-scale serial productionHands-on engineer with a strong bias toward execution, problem-solving, and getting things builtComfortable working in early-stage or scale-up environments with evolving processes and prioritiesAble to take ownership and make practical decisions in ambiguous situationsExperience in aviation, aerospace, or other high-reliability hardware environments is beneficial but not essentialOpen to working on-site in Spain; short-term hybrid possible, but long-term presence is expected✛ Take your career to new HYTEs ✛Opportunity to take ownership of a critical battery manufacturing and prototyping functionHigh visibility and influence within a growing, technically driven organisationClear scope to evolve into broader technical or people leadership as the programme scales
