Role : Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Global Nodes is supporting Winview, a Madrid-based creative technology company, hiring the role of CTO. This is an in-office position in Madrid, Spain. All applying candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English. It leads the engineering and development teams, oversees the technological infrastructure, and ensures the company uses technology efficiently to drive growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Technology Strategy: Define and communicate the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap. Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve products, services, and operational efficiency. Stay up-to-date with industry and technology trends to ensure competitiveness. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the engineering, development, QA, and IT teams. Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation. Oversee the hiring, training, and professional development of technical staff. Product Development and Architecture: Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from conception to launch. Ensure the quality, scalability, security, and reliability of the technology architecture and products. Make critical decisions about the tech stack , tools, and coding standards. Deep understanding of product vision and expectations from the customers. Operations and Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology department's budget. Oversee IT infrastructure, data security, and regulatory compliance. Optimize technological processes to ensure maximum operational efficiency. Participation in vendor selection and trade-offs. Collaboration with the C-Suite: Work closely with the CEO and other executive leaders to align technology strategy with business goals. Communicate technology risks, opportunities, and progress to the board of directors and stakeholders. Requirements and Qualifications On-site in central Madrid. Language: Technical English, written and oral, at a fluent or native level. University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a technology leadership role (CTO, VP of Engineering, etc.) with a track record in building and managing technical teams. Practical experience in software development and scalable systems architecture. Experience in handling a multitenant system. Experience in Cloud architecture and familiar with Azure. Solid knowledge of agile methodologies ( Scrum, Kanban ). Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and manage technological change. Past experience in the same industry will be a plus.
