About the Position

The Risk Hub in Madrid is a transversal platform supporting the Risk function across credit, market, operational, and data protection services.
Mission

Purpose: Manage the credit decision process and monitor counterparty and credit risk on regulated funds, providing risk oversight and control over relevant activities.
Scope: EMEA region.

Responsibilities

Exercise credit delegation per the delegation scheme and credit process rules; co‑chair Credit Committees with Relationship Managers or Business Lines representatives.
Prepare and sign off Credit Committee Minutes as RISK delegation holder.
Authorise policy exceptions per procedures (collateral, legal credit terms).
Participate in or request Due Diligences; provide support, guidance and decisions to other RISK teams, Credit Analysts and businesses related to funds.
Ensure quality and timeliness of synthetic credit risk analysis and recommendation provided by Credit Analysts within delegated level.
Apply Bank’s procedures and policies, ensuring consistency of rating methodologies.
Assess credit proposals with support of Credit Analysts against BNPP commercial strategy and Relationship Manager memos.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Business Lines in identifying credit points and mitigating risks.
Act as expert on specific portfolios (concentrated, correlated, longer tenors, illiquid). Make decisions on files within delegated level and escale to Credit Officers/Senior Credit Officers when higher delegation is required.
Recommend Watch List and Doubtful counterparties under scope; oversee due diligence process for owned counterparties.
Contribute to risk strategy definition, regulatory measures, risk appetite framework, and provide support for regulatory requests and missions.
Participate in credit and counterparty process optimization projects, transformations, and new activity committees (TACs/NACs).

Requirements

Master’s Degree/MSc/Master 2 in Engineering, Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
5‑10 years minimum of experience in Credit/Counterparty Risk or Credit Analysis.
Fluent in English; Spanish language proficiency is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills and proven ability to handle complex credit assessments.
Knowledge of the investment funds industry, banking, and financial markets products.
Adaptability, proactivity, multitasking, self‑driven, and organized; strong presentation and communication skills.
Assertiveness, leadership, critical thinking, and capability to engage stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
