Data Centre SupervisorLocation: MadridSector: Critical Infrastructure / Data Centre OperationsWorking Pattern: Monday – Friday (with out-of-hours cover as required)An established data centre operator is seeking a Data Centre Supervisor to support the safe, resilient and efficient operation of a mission-critical facility supporting high-profile customers. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role, ideal for someone who understands what “best in class” operational delivery really looks like.Reporting into the Data Centre Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, third-party service providers, and operational processes, with a clear focus on uptime, safety, and service excellence.The RoleSupport overall responsibility for the site’s critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, from both a preventative and reactive maintenance perspectiveAct as a key point of contact for customers during day-to-day operations and incident escalationOversee and challenge third-party maintenance providers, ensuring PPMs, reactive works and service repairs are completed to standard and on timeMonitor and respond to BMS and critical alarms, supporting diagnostics, escalation and root cause analysisReview, develop and improve SOPs, MOPs and EOPs to reduce human error and protect uptimeEnsure all change management activities are carried out in line with process, including review of RAMS, permits and contractor competencyProvide cover for the Data Centre Manager during periods of absenceSupport a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all site, company and client QHSE requirementsKey Technical ExposureHV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, PDUsCooling systems including chillers, CRAHs, AHUs and associated controlsBMS and electrical power monitoring systemsCritical incident and change management processesBackground & ExperienceEssentialRecognised electrical or mechanical qualificationProven experience within data centre operations or other critical environmentsStrong understanding of critical infrastructure systemsExperience supervising contractors or acting in a shift-lead / supervisory capacityConfident communicator in Spanish and English (written and verbal)Calm, structured decision-making approach, particularly during incidentsDesirableHVAP or working towards HV authorisationFire marshal or first aid certificationKnowledge of permit to work systems, risk assessments and asset management toolsPersonal AttributesPositive, solutions-focused and delivery-drivenComfortable leading by example in a live operational environmentDetail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityAble to remain composed under pressure and during outages or incidentsAdditional InformationParticipation in an out-of-hours call-out rota is requiredFlexibility to support planned shutdowns, emergencies and holiday coverOccasional travel to other European facilities for training may be requiredSuccessful candidates will be subject to background checks in line with local regulations
