Windows Server Administrator (f/m/d)This full‑time on‑site position is located at Airbus Helicopters in Albacete, Spain. The role focuses on managing, maintaining and innovating the entire server, storage and database landscape that supports the company’s production and engineering systems.ResponsibilitiesInstallation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of Windows Server environments.Active system monitoring and proactive resolution of incidents and performance bottlenecks.Support and manage maintenance contracts, service level agreements and budget planning for the Windows Server infrastructure.Handle complex 3rd‑level support activities, including incident management and root‑cause analysis in collaboration with end‑users.Assist in establishing industry standards and quality‑assurance regulations.Create and continuously maintain comprehensive system documentation and operational manuals.Identify and manage hardware and software obsolescence, mitigating risks from outdated technology and supporting the obsolescence project through planning, communication and scheduling.Collaborate with external service providers for operational management and maintenance of the infrastructure.Administer hyper‑visor clusters and ensure seamless integration between hardware and software layers.Support implementation of security patches and ensure systems meet strict aviation industry cybersecurity standards.Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.QualificationsDegree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training; 3–5 years of experience in Windows Server environments and technical support.Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.Experience with virtualization and monitoring tools.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and technical documentation.Knowledge of vendor management and budget tracking is a plus.Strong problem‑solving skills and a service‑oriented mindset.Excellent focus on quality and structured administrative work.English is mandatory; French and/or German are considered advantageous.BenefitsApprox. 35 vacation days per year, plus additional days off.Attractive salary package.Hybrid working model with flexible arrangements.Collective transport service and on‑site facilities such as free canteen, kindergarten and medical office.Life and health insurance, employee stock options, retirement plan and study grants.Upskilling opportunities and development prospects in a multicultural environment.Special rates for products and benefits.Airbus is committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment.
