Director, DDIT US&I Business Partner – Region Europe
Location: Barcelona, SpainRelocation Support: This role is based in Barcelona, Spain. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support.
As a Strategic Business Partner within DDIT, you will work closely with senior business leaders to capture global and local demand and translate it into high‑quality, value‑driven digital solutions. This role plays a critical part in shaping and evolving organizational strategy by aligning business objectives with technology vision, product discovery, service delivery, risk, and relationship management. As the Global Product Line Lead, you will own the technical product lifecycle end‑to‑end, co‑creating roadmaps with business partners, prioritizing features, and guiding products from ideation through adoption and value realization. By representing business and customer strategy within DDIT, you will directly influence platform and product investments that drive meaningful and sustained business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic business partner, translating global and local business demand into scalable, high‑quality digital and technology solutions
Shape and deliver multi‑year technology and product roadmaps aligned to business strategy and transformation priorities
Lead the global product line portfolio, maximizing value, adoption, and utilization across the full product lifecycle
Own technical product delivery in close partnership with business product managers, from ideation through value realization
Govern and prioritize product backlogs to enable minimum viable solutions and incremental business outcomes
Oversee programs, projects, and products, ensuring strong execution, risk management, and stakeholder confidence
Represent business and customer strategy within DDIT, influencing platform, product, and investment decisions
Essential Requirements
Extensive experience partnering with senior business leaders within complex, global, matrixed organizations
Proven track record delivering technologically enabled business transformation, with pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
Deep expertise in product lifecycle leadership, including strategy development, roadmap execution, and adoption
Demonstrated accountability for delivering complex programs, projects, and products with clear value realization
Advanced stakeholder management capabilities, including the ability to influence decisions without direct authority
Strong business and financial acumen, including budget ownership, risk management, and value measurement
