Overview Application Deadline: 23 April 2026 Department: Graduates Location: Home Spain In Davies we are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Professionals to join a high-impact transformation program within a leading international bank. The main objectives of the program are to improve accounting processes, clear exceptions and ensure a robust audit trail for financial controls. Successful candidates must be deployment-ready, possessing strong baseline accounting knowledge and the ability to operate in a fast-paced banking environment. We want to build the team with people with different level of expertise, junior to senior. Responsibilities Accelerated Substantiation: Perform rapid reconciliation of complex balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Exception Remediation: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve mid-to-high complexity breaks and long-standing exceptions. Audit Readiness: Maintain rigorous documentation of all remediation steps to provide clear, transparent audit trails. Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead/Mid work closely with internal finance teams and business users to translate findings into resolved entries. Quality Assurance: Lead, review team output, guide the workstream, and ensure all deliverables meet the bank’s rigorous standards. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Industry Experience: Previous experience within a Banking or Financial Services environment is mandatory. Accounting Proficiency: Solid understanding of baseline accounting principles and General Ledger (GL) structures in Banking environment. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex financial breaks. Independence: Ability to work independently (Mid/Lead) or with minimal supervision (Junior) in an accelerated project environment. Tech Stack: Proficiency in Excel; experience with Banking ERPs is preferred. Specific Profiles Senior/Lead Analyst: 8–10+ years in Banking Ops / Financial Control; proven experience driving quality and leading remediation workstreams. Mid-Level Analyst: 3–5 years of experience; capable of independently resolving mid-complexity breaks. Junior Analyst: 1–2 years of experience; strong foundational accounting knowledge and ability to process high volumes of data accurately. Preferred Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (Part-qualified or qualified) is highly valued for Lead/Mid roles.
