About the role Financial Controls & Processes Manager HQ Madrid. The role will lead the Group’s internal control framework (ICOFR) and the global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) procedure from the corporate center. This role will drive process optimization, automation, compliance across finance, support sustainability reporting, and ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of the Group’s annual accounts. The position offers the opportunity to shape best practices and deliver value in a dynamic international environment. Key responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the ICOFR system at group level, ensuring robust internal controls, up-to-date documentation, and effective remediation. Oversee the global purchasing (P2P) procedure: define policies, coordinate deployment and training, and monitor compliance across all business units. Drive continuous improvement and automation/efficiency of finance processes, implementing tools to streamline workflows, enhance risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance. Support on financial and procurement matters for Sustainability Reporting (including EINF), ensuring accurate data and alignment with corporate standards. Support with the preparation and review of the Group’s Annual Accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and high-quality external audit coordination. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of control, efficiency, and excellence. Willingness to travel regularly and provide on-site support to local teams for implementation and monitoring of controls and procedures. About you Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar. Postgraduate studies (e.g., Master’s, MBA) are a plus. About 5 years’ experience in internal controls (ICOFR), finance process optimization, or global purchasing controls in multinational environments. Prior external audit experience (Big4 preferred) is desirable. Strong knowledge of COSO, ICOFR governance, procurement controls, IFRS, and management accounting. Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau), and GRC/automation platforms. Fluent English required; other languages are an asset.
