Our backend systems are the backbone of our business, and we’re looking for a Backend Developer to help us scale, innovate, and deliver. While the company is based in Australia, our team is located around the world. We are looking for a professional based preferably in Spain. Domain of English language is a must, as the company official language is English, along with Spanish for daily use with the local team. The Role as a Mid–Senior Backend Developer, you’ll design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services with Node.js (mainly Next.js) and TypeScript. You’ll work closely with our product and data teams to build powerful automations, improve system scalability, and deliver new features that directly impact the business.What You’ll Do· Develop and maintain frontend code for a clean and optimized internal app in React (mandatory use of TypeScript).· Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and, mainly, Next.js (mandatory use of TypeScript).· Design and implement automation tools and workflows that streamline operations.· Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver features that drive business growth.· Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance at high loads.· Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.· Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement of our backend stack.What We’re Looking For· 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development.· Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript.· Real git management via terminal.· Experience with automation systems and backend workflow orchestration.· Solid knowledge of databases (mainly Microsoft SQL, Transact-SQL).· Familiarity with testing frameworks and writing unit/integration tests.· Understanding of scalable architectures, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern DevOps practices.· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.· Fluent in English and Spanish.Nice to Have· Experience with microservices architectures.· Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).· Experience in Linux environments and POSIX systems.· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Why Join Us?· Work in a dynamic and innovative environment where technology drives business impact.· Opportunity to own features end-to-end and influence architectural decisions.· Be part of a collaborative, international team that values growth and creativity.· Competitive compensation and flexible working setup.
