EduTalent Group are seeking an experienced Head of Art to join the Senior School of a leading British International School in Madrid, starting January, April or September 2026. The school follows the British National Curriculum and has a strong reputation for academic excellence, with pupils progressing to top universities in the UK, US, Spain and Europe. This role will lead the Art Department, delivering Pearson Edexcel GCSE Art & Design: Fine Art and Pearson Edexcel GCE Fine Art. You will ensure high‑quality teaching, motivate and inspire students, and contribute to the development of a vibrant co‑curricular and academic culture. You will also support departmental planning, resourcing and staff development. Requirements A good honours degree from a British university PGCE or recognised equivalent teaching qualification for secondary Art Proven experience as Head of Department Recent teaching experience with Pearson Edexcel GCSE Art & Design: Fine Art and Pearson Edexcel GCE Fine Art Native level English proficiency Excellent classroom management and ability to maintain high expectations Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate on curriculum planning and resourcing Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of individual students Well organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively Competent in the use of ICT to support teaching and learning Desirable but not essential Experience in an international school Recent teaching experience in a UK independent school All appointments are subject to safeguarding checks, including references and ACRO Criminal Records Office clearance.
