IT Technician for User Services Team

Responsibilities

Providing technical support to end users.
Ensuring the proper functioning of users’ desktops, laptops, and other devices.
Working closely with other teams to provide timely and effective solutions to end‑user issues.
Resolving both hardware and software issues.
Performing any other duties assigned by the CIO or his/her delegates.

Qualifications and Qualities

A diploma (or above) in Information Technology or related disciplines.
A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Self‑motivated and a team player.
Certifications of ITIL and CompTIA A+ and relevant working experience in project management are preferred.
Knowledge or experience in technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network connectivity, LAN socket maintenance, Windows and macOS platforms, iOS and Android devices, VIP supporting, installation and configuration of hardware/software, compliance with corporate policies and data privacy laws, and computer‑based audio‑visual solutions such as webcasting, video streaming, and video conferencing using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.

What We Offer
The appointment will be on a fixed‑term full‑time contract for 2 years, commencing as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract‑end gratuity and university contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
