Join to apply for the Junior Hydraulics & Drainage Engineer role at AECOM AECOM is looking for a Junior Hydraulics & Drainage Engineer to join the Enterprise Capabilities team in Madrid. The position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement (in-office and remote). Overview We are recruiting a Junior Engineer with experience in Hydraulics and Drainage design , based in Madrid. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects for private and public sector clients, including Local Authorities and major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work on iconic Transportation and Water projects as part of a diverse, multicultural team. Responsibilities Set standards and procedures for CADD and modeling works. Perform self-checks of work products before submission and participate in quality control reviews of documentation from other staff. Assign and coordinate tasks to other technical or administrative staff, mainly related to drafting. Work on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work reviewed by senior or experienced engineers. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulics and drainage (H&D) design, with a clear interest in developing a technical career in this field. Proficiency in Civil3D, including setting up standards and creating pipeline alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading, and operations with surfaces. Experience with hydraulics and hydrology software packages such as HEC-RAS/HMS, StormCAD, Infoworks ICM, OpenRoads Designer, 12D, etc., is well considered. Fluent in English (oral and written). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
