Descripción de la oferta
Aistech Space is focused on generating affordable, recurrent, high resolution thermal imagery of the planet to provide a new perspective of Earth’s changing resources. The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management.
Our vision is focused on a key sentence: “See the Unseen, protect what matters most on Earth”
What you will do:
Aistech Space is looking for a Junior Satellite Operations Engineer to be part of the Ground Infrastructure Team in charge of operating the first satellites, Hydra-2 and Hydra-3, daily in its nominal state or recovering them from their safety states.
You will also contribute to the development and implementation of ground segment software related to Satellite Operations. The sw development will be focused on the SOMO and COSMO modules, which are crucial for determining the feasibility of satellite imaging opportunities and optimizing mission plans.
You will directly participate in the meetings with our payload and satellite platform teams to define, implement and test the future mission operations SW developed by Aistech from LEOP to nominal operations. You will also interact with 3rd party operations SW and implement them into the operational flows used at Aistech to operate the satellite missions. The cycle will finish with a lesson’s learnt study to apply to the next evolution of our satellites.

Be the interface person for operations with our satellite platform supplier during the Hydra-2 (and others) from the development phase to launch, LEOP and nominal operations, producing any technical studies, testing reports, etc to ensure its success in space.
Prepare any technical documents to ensure the proposed performance of Hydra satellites in orbit: performing simulation tasks, technical budgeting, operational plans for imaging and delivery of imaging products.
Be part of the Ground Infrastructure team in all phases from: definition of requirements to design, implementation, integration, deployment, testing and maintenance once live.
Understanding Aistech’s cloud infrastructure.
Research of Open/Free SW tools, libraries, repositories, code for space infrastructure and mission planning, payload operations for ground infrastructure, TTC processing and visualization, etc
