Experteer Overview
In this role you will help shape Monzo's product experience from Barcelona, collaborating with a global research team to reveal user needs and opportunities. You will set up and evolve research processes, build a customer-obsessed culture in Spain, and contribute to cross-functional product development. The role combines hands-on qualitative research with strategic impact across a mobile-first banking platform. You will work with a world-class team to unlock meaningful product insights and guide decision-making.

• Set up and optimize research systems and processes in collaboration with the global Research Operations lead
• Build and nurture a customer-obsessed research culture in Spain
• Assist in hiring other researchers and potentially designers
• Collaborate with global researchers to deliver high-impact work

• Create and manage a backlog of global research opportunities with international peers
• Prioritize opportunities ruthlessly based on user needs and potential impact
Responsabilidades
• Experience establishing research processes for the first time and evolving them
• Background on working with global products and cross-border collaboration
• Hands-on exploratory and evaluative qualitative research experience
• Led research in multidisciplinary teams with measurable product impact
• Ability to conduct user testing in varied settings, including mobile and street-side testing
• Comfort with mobile, lab research, and field testing
• Understanding of practical research design vs. business goals and ‘just enough research’
• Strong communication and facilitation skills to tell a compelling research story
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team
• Familiarity with quantitative research and how it informs metrics and product success
