Responsibilities: Implement high-speed, complex designs from floorplan to GDS while meeting aggressive PPA (Performance, Power, Area) targets. Research and develop innovative methodologies, scripts, and flows to push PPA limits in physical design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design implications on timing closure, power optimization, and overall physical implementation. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in physical design, applying insights to improve solutions and deliverables. Requirements: 4+ years of relevant experience in Physical Design. Strong knowledge of the complete PD flow from netlist to GDS, including floorplanning, power planning, placement/CTS/routing, and optimization steps. Hands-on experience with physical design tools for advanced technology nodes (10nm and below). Deep understanding of STA, timing closure, congestion, routing, power analysis, and power integrity methodologies. Proficiency in automation using Perl and TCL, along with experience developing or supporting physical design flows; strong communication and teamwork skills.
