The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Power Electronics Modelling & Simulation Expert to join our Product Innovation & Development team. You will contribute to the design, simulation, validation, and commissioning of advanced power conversion systems for renewable energy and energy storage applications, working in a collaborative, international environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and modelling through to laboratory validation and certification. How You’ll Make an Impact Design, model, and simulate power electronics converters and control systems (AC/DC, DC/DC) using tools such as Spice, PSCAD, Simulink, and PLECS . Support the selection, qualification, and verification of semiconductors, passive components, and protection devices. Contribute to fast, iterative development cycles through prototyping, laboratory testing, and commissioning activities. Build and maintain laboratory test setups to verify the performance, efficiency, and robustness of power conversion systems. Analyse logs, signals, and test results, generating clear and structured technical reports . Support validation, qualification, and product certification activities in laboratory, factory, and field environments. Your Background BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (minimum requirement). Proven experience in power electronics design , including converters, control strategies, and system-level integration. Strong experience with modelling and simulation tools (Spice, PSCAD, Simulink, PLECS). Solid knowledge of power converters and conversion topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC). Experience with laboratory instrumentation, prototype testing, and commissioning is valued. Fluency in spoken and written English is required; additional experience in PV and energy storage systems is a plus.
