Responsibilities Lead, design and maintain AI‑driven features (forecasting, classification, regression, recommender systems, LLM‑powered features…) to effectively solve business challenges. Own delivery across multiple workstreams: shape the roadmap with PM/Eng, scope projects, manage dependencies and risks, ensure on‑time, and high quality releases. Communicate and align with internal and external stakeholders: present results and findings, identify gaps and opportunities, explain the product and the AI behind. Provide leadership for your team: mentor and manage a Data Science team, define modelling/evaluation standards, and lead cross‑functional delivery with PMs/engineers/customers to shape the roadmap and drive measurable business impact. Journey to impact Month 1 : Understand your domain and roadmap, assess team strengths/gaps, deliver quick wins and establish a prioritized backlog. Present findings to internal and external stakeholders. Month 3 : Take ownership. Understand a domain end‑to‑end, solve complex business problems, mentor and be a multiplier for your team collaborate cross‑functionally and engaging directly with customers (lead customer workshops and meetings). Month 6 : Become a go‑to leader. Develop deep expertise in key areas of our product, influence the organization roadmap, be a leader on innovation, propose workflow improvements, and present solutions and our product to leadership and customers. Who We’re Looking For Technical stack : Comfortable writing and debugging in Python and SQL, hands‑on experience training or fine‑tuning ML models (classic ML or LLMs), and deep expertise in at least one technical area (time series, optimization, recommendations, causal inference). Business & product sense : Understand that AI is only valuable if it moves business metrics. Skilled at identifying high‑impact problems, choosing the right models and approaches, and validating work with users and stakeholders. Prioritise by impact vs effort and measure success using both model performance and business KPIs. Able to create and lead a product roadmap. Scientist & builder : Curious and persistent, try multiple approaches, analyse results, and iterate fast. Know when to experiment with cutting‑edge techniques and when to pick simple, reliable solutions that can scale. Break complex problems into shippable, value‑adding steps. Communication & influence : Explain complex results clearly to internal & external stakeholders, adapt message to different audiences, and lead cross‑functional teams with product, engineering, and business.
