Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Navigation, Intelligence & Connectivity (NIC) division in Woodland Hills, Ca is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) team, reporting to the SPM Woodland Hills/Salt Lake City NIC Manager. This position is instrumental in driving the supply base to provide consistently high-quality parts to support our customers. This position will be working in the Woodland Hills, CA facility. What you'll get to do: · Represent Northrop Grumman to the supply chain with credibility, confidence, and professionalism, and support the maintenance of the approved supplier list. · Engage in Program activities to identify and quantify supplier performance as a proactive risk mitigation. · Represent Supplier Performance Management (SPM) at various program reviews and review boards including but not limited to Configuration Control Board (CCB), Material Review Board (MRB), Program Management Reviews (PMR), Design/Peer Reviews, Manufacturing/Test Readiness Reviews and Corrective Action Board (CAB), Process improvement (CI), Supplier Product Readiness Review (SPRR), provide input to critical supplier scorecards. · Perform Specification/Drawing Compliance Reviews, (FAIRs) First Article Inspections approvals per AS9102 to ensure suppliers can ship conforming and timely products, and support Receiving Inspection on various categories of hardware but not limited to (PWBs, CCAs, cables and connectors, microelectronics, electro-mechanical systems, and mechanical components & assemblies, etc.). · Perform process and product audits along with capacity assessments to ensure the supplier's processes are robust and capable, as well as compliant with Military and Space requirements. · Review supplier quality history and drive activities to improve performance through partnership - Return-to-green plans, initiate and manage SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) to address nonconforming material by working cross-functionally identify root cause and ensure robust corrective actions are implemented. Candidate to have a strong knowledge in the Quality Management System in-order to conduct Root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fish-bone diagram, etc. · Assists with program cost estimate development related to supplier quality activities. · Liaison to SPM Field supplier quality engineers (FSQE) for program related actions and information. · Support the development of entry level engineers to ensure team effectiveness and promote knowledge
