Freelance Senior PROMPT ENGINEER-Remote- 6+monthsOue client is a leading multinational materials company headquartered in BrusselsTheir SyGrow project aims at using AI to support Sales frontline and growth, by generating Pre-meeting Reports and creating AI generated leads. After an initial phase, the team search the support of a Senior Prompt Engineer for the industrialization phase.MissionAs a Senior Prompt Engineer, you’ll architect and optimize advanced prompt systems that power their core AI products.This role sits at the intersection of language modeling, software engineering, and applied AI research.You’ll partner with product, data science, and infrastructure teams to make our AI agents more reliable, explainable, and capable of high-level reasoning.ResponsibilitiesArchitect next-generation agentic and standard prompt frameworks.Replace “vibes-based” testing with structured evaluation pipelines (Promptfoo, LangSmith, and custom QA frameworks).Ensure reliability through strongly typed, structured outputs (Pydantic, JSON).Oversee the full PromptOps lifecycle, including Git-based version control and versioning best practices.Optimize token economics using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and context pruning.Design precise API tool-calling schemas for model and agent integration.Implement Chain-of-Thought and Self-Reflection techniques to enhance reasoning performance.Build production-grade, autonomous AI systems capable of complex decision-making.Qualifications2+ years of hands-on experience developing, testing, and deploying production prompt systems.Expertise in Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), and model evaluation frameworks.Strong understanding of natural language reasoning, prompt design, and model interpretability.Proven track record building scalable, reliable AI or prompt systems in production environments.Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, Pydantic, Promptfoo, and Git-based workflows.Preferred Experience: experience with token-level optimization, context engineering, or RAG pipelines.Background in applied machine learning, reasoning models, or autonomous agent design.Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams combining engineering, research, and product thinking.
