This role offers a hybrid setup with a balance of work from home and office presence.About The Team The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) engineering team protects Swiss Re's sensitive data through processes, tools and strategies that prevent data leakage and misuse. We are enhancing capabilities in data discovery, classification and policy enforcement to identify data across the enterprise, automate protection measures, and integrate insights into security operations to meet regulatory requirements.We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to implement the best solution and guide the development of these engineering services with a dedicated team of experts.Your Responsibilities Deploy, operate and optimize data scanning/data discovery solutions (BigID) in Kubernetes environmentsDesign and build CI/CD pipelines for security solutionsDevelop and maintain API automations to streamline security processesIntegrate data security solutions with the broader IT landscapeImprove metrics and monitoring to ensure the reliability of our security infrastructureUtilize existing documentation, source code and logs to understand complex interactions between systemsProvide security guidance on new products and technologiesCommunicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholdersYour Qualifications Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies and standard methods, with a willingness to dive into new areasCan-do attitude with a proactive approach toward challenges, producing tangible resultsDeep expertise in several areas including Kubernetes environments and container securityCI/CD pipeline design and implementationAPI development and automationNetwork security, application security and identity managementAutomation, coding and/or scripting using Bash, Go, Python, Perl, Terraform or similarKnowledge in data security and data discovery solutions (BigID or similar) is favourableExcellent communication skills – fluency in English, both spoken and writtenFamiliarity with security standards in regulated environmentsRole For Spain the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, the applicant's profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. If you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the salary may be below or above the advertised range.
