Overview
As Senior Customs Expert, you will drive end-to-end import/export operations and continuous improvements within a newly formed global Customs & Import model. You’ll partner with regional and local teams to deliver compliant, cost-aware cross-border solutions. The Iberian market is your main focus, with broader regional involvement, working autonomously to navigate complex regulations. You’ll shape processes and mitigate risk while collaborating with brokers and authorities.

ResponsabilidadesDrive operational performance of import, export and transit activitiesAct as a key point of contact for local customs authorities to ensure complianceAnswer queries and provide support to stakeholders engaged in cross-border activitiesDrive operational interactions with brokers/3rd parties and monitor relevant KPIsIdentify potential optimizations related to operating costs and opportunities for reducing customs duty spendEnsure end-to-end daily activities defined in the Customs & responsibilities matrix are in compliance with country rules and regulationsEnsure compliance under the Authorized Economic Operator and Inward processing authorizationsProactively avoid or mitigate potential business continuity or economic risk related to Tetra Pak operations and its customs transactionsEnsure correct tariff classification of goods imported and exportedSupport the review of Inward Processing licenses, related controls, and ongoing compliance
Requisitos principalesBachelor’s degree in relevant fieldAt least 5 years of customs experienceExperience in complex customs environments with process improvement and cross-functional stakeholder managementStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong stakeholder management and collaboration skillsConflict management and an innovation mindsetFluent in English and SpanishAdditional European language (French) would be an advantageExperience with Inward Processing would be advantageousExperience in Customs software or SAP is a plusstakeholder managementcollaborationconflict managementMicrosoft Office (Excel)Inward ProcessingCustoms software or SAP
