Senior Efficacy Scientist, Biocides (f/m/d) at knoell

Your role

Develop, plan, and oversee efficacy testing strategies for active substances, biocidal products, and product families in line with current regulatory guidance.
Apply and share strong IUCLID expertise, including preparation of robust study summaries and contribution to efficacy and resistance sections of regulatory dossiers.
Support clients with scientific and regulatory questions related to efficacy requirements, study design, and interactions with regulatory authorities.
Collaborate closely with internal scientific and regulatory experts, acting as a key interface to ensure integrated and high‑quality project delivery.
Represent and promote the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings by demonstrating efficacy expertise and supporting training and business development activities.
Manage biocides projects from initiation to completion, coordinating communication between clients, internal teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely and successful outcomes.

Your profile

Degree in Microbiology or a closely related scientific discipline.
At least 5 years of professional experience in efficacy testing, biocides, or a related regulatory or scientific field.
Strong knowledge of the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), relevant efficacy guidance, and efficacy test methods (e.g. CEN standards).
Hands‑on experience with IUCLID, including preparation of study summaries and regulatory documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
Experience in project coordination or leading internal task forces, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
