NoOffer DescriptionThe purpose of the contract is to provide research support activities linked to the Good-Lac project.The successful candidate’s duties will include:• Handling and monitoring lab animals• Taking samples and conducting biochemical, morphological and gene expression analyses• Supporting lab management (stock management, procurement, etc.) and outreach for the project’s outcomes.PI: Dra. Catalina Picó SeguraFunding body: 7324Institution: Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) / University of the Balearic Islands (UIB)A Degree in Biochemistry, Biology or similar.Specific RequirementsCandidates must have a wide availability with regard to scheduling and travel.Particular consideration will be given to the following:• Other university qualifications (degrees linked to biochemistry, master’s degrees linked to nutrigenomics)• Experience working in research labs linked to nutrition and nutrigenomics, as well as scientific outreach (e.g. studentassistantships, etc.)• Training courses (relevant for the profile)• Participation at conferences/seminars or similar (relevant for the profile)• Other professional activities (relevant for the profile)• An ability for organisational management and scientific outreach• Other merits (relevant for the profile).Language requerimentsLanguage skills (English).Experience required: 1-4 yearsPrior experienceCandidates must have the following:• Proven experience in molecular biology techniques (research papers linked to nutrigenomics)• Proven experience handling lab animals (certification course).Years of Research Experience 1 - 4Internal Application form(s) neededNational Social Security Insurance (Public Health Insurance)Planned end date of the tasks subject to the contract: Wednesday, September 30, 2026Eligibility criteria• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).• Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).• Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).• Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters.Eligibility threshold: 60 points.Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non-EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non-EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring.
