Role
Quvia is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will interface with customers and identify their needs. The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with various Quvia departments, from network engineers to support and operations, ensuring a plan is in motion to improve the customer’s experience. The role requires high-level thinking to architect solutions across a variety of hardware, combined with strong programming skills and a passion for focus and commitment. You will have the opportunity to impact the implementation and quality of Quvia's next-generation products. The environment supports innovation and rapid product iteration within a creative solution space. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced startup, with responsibilities including setting expectations, keeping stakeholders informed, managing project plans, and ensuring commitments are met. You will also work with large enterprise customers.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored satellite communication solutions.
Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to determine the best solutions for new customers.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of Quvia systems on maritime verticals.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all solutions and services provided.
Act as a technical advisor to customers, offering guidance on best practices and optimal usage of satellite communication systems.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams on the operation and maintenance of satellite systems.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in Quvia systems.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and service delivery, to ensure successful project execution.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in satellite communications, with a focus on maritime.
Strong understanding of satellite communication systems, including VSAT, L-band, and Ku-band technologies.
Proficiency in networking concepts, IP routing, and RF engineering.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
