We're looking for a Mobile Team Lead to lead the greenfield rewrite of our iOS/Android application using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform (CMP). This role combines strong technical leadership with a genuine focus on people management—you'll be equally invested in architectural decisions and in helping your team members grow their skills and advance their careers. Drive the team's professional growth and skill development; Identify high-potentialteam members and create opportunities for them to own technical areas as DRIs and lead initiatives Facilitate distributed architecture decision-making where team members own technical areas as DRIs (navigation, database, networking, etc.)Establish lightweight coding standards that enable velocity rather than ceremony 8+ years of mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android)~ Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with Kotlin Multiplatform ~ Demonstrated proficiency with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) with the ability to train others is a must ~2+ years of direct people management experience, leading teams of 3-8 engineers ~ Experience giving difficult feedback and managing performance improvement plans ~ Leading by example, including hands-on coding and learning new technologies A fully remote team with a base in Berlin We are seeking a performance-driven, high-energy personality who has several years of experience in the field.
