We are looking for a Team Leader Accountant to join our Finance department reporting to the Accountant Manager, you will be a part of KLG's Barcelona-based accounting team, providing accounting support to different countries.¿Es usted el solicitante adecuado para esta oportunidad? We are proud to have recently welcomed ESL Education and Alpadia Language Schools into the Kaplan International Group.Job DescriptionYour duties will include but not be limited to:Liaising with the business to ensure completeness in the purchase ledgerProvide support for forecasting, variance analysis and budgetingProviding ad-hoc support when required by senior members of the teamResponsibility of Month End Closure for your entities including AR reconciliation and Deferred RevenueP&L analysis - OPEX, Services, Residences and HomestayMonthly reportingPreparing and posting Prepayments journalsMaintaining Fixed Asset register and posting depreciation journalsManagement of utility contracts including posting accruals and reviewing invoicesPosting general OPEX accrualsManagement of residence costs including reviewing invoices and posting accrualsCoding and posting credit card accrualsBalance sheet reconciliationsProvide support during annual internal and external auditsProvide support to the fiduciaries/external accounting departments.QualificationsQualifications and experienceMinimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably inclusive of accounting modulesMinimum 5 years previous experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting and P&L analysis.Valuable previous experience in auditing. xcskxlj Previous experience working for large corporation in accounting positionPrevious ownership or involvement in month-end processesSkills And CompetenciesIntermediate Excel knowledge (V Lookups, pivot tables, formatting of data…)Strong technical accounting skillsStrong customer service ethos and high attention to detailSystematic and organised approachStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to process high volumes of work, to deadlines with minimal supervisionQuick to pick up and apply knowledgeHigh level of initiative, self-motivation and driveReliable with a flexible attitudeAdditional InformationEqual Opportunities statement:At Kaplan International, we are committed to working in a diverse organisation and strive to provide equality of opportunity for all.
