To achieve the Paris climate protection goals, we need the global energy transition with exclusively renewable energies by 2050. We are currently looking for project analysts, project managers and team leaders to develop innovative climate protection projects and drive forward the energy transition with a focus on north‑south collaboration. As a non‑profit climate protection company at the interface between business and NGOs, our main business is CO₂ offsetting by running our own renewable energy projects in countries of the global south. In addition, we advise companies in Europe and create specialised CO2 software. Our headquarters in Berlin with 40 employees, the new subsidiary in Barcelona as well as the country managers and partner companies in Europe, Asia, Africa and America form the basis for successful climate protection as a quality market leader. Behind atmosfair is a board with representatives of environmental NGOs and the German Ministries, high‑ranking patrons from politics and science, as well as prominent supporters.
We develop our own renewable energy projects and tailor‑made concepts as well as green energy solutions for national and international large corporate customers. In this way, we create added value for climate protection and our customers.
For our team in Barcelona, we are seeking a:
Trainee on the Job in Global Renewable Energy and Climate Protection Project Development (m/f/d)
Your mission
You will support the sourcing, planning, and implementation of renewable energy and new technology projects. You will help identify project opportunities and suitable partners in developing countries around the world. You will gain insights into setting up and managing the technical implementation (including concept development, design, supplier selection, procurement of parts and materials, and necessary measures);
You will ensure progress of leads and projects and expand contacts and networks;
You will be responsible for ensuring that the(CO₂) certification (e.g. Art 6.4 and Gold Standard) are meeting goals, timelines and budgets;
You will take on cross‑sectional tasks for several CO₂‑offset projects;
You will support key account management and will be in contact with customers and the sales teams.

You have...
Above‑average Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (industrial) engineering, technical environmental protection, or natural sciences;
Completed internships or initial relevant professional experience with a practical, technical focus are an advantage;
Hands‑on mentality and entrepreneurial spirit;
Initiative, independent working style;
Expertise and commitment in the field of environmental/climate protection;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team;
Business fluent in English.
