We are the industry leader in the production, management and sales of commercial hospitality programmes and deliver maximum exposure for our event partners via a well-established and comprehensive global sales agent network, in addition to our in-house direct sales team.About the roleWe are looking for an Accountant to join the finance team supporting the exciting Formula 1 Madrid project at MATCH Hospitality. Based in Valencia, this role will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of a fast-paced international business environment.The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team across a broad range of accounting activities, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a dynamic sports and events business.Key responsibilitiesAccounts Receivable & BillingPrepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on timeMonitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balancesSupport reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve discrepanciesAssist with revenue tracking and reportingAccounts PayableProcess supplier invoices and employee expensesPrepare payment runs and maintain supplier recordsReconcile supplier statements and resolve queriesEnsure appropriate approvals and supporting documentation are in placeFinancial Reporting & Month-EndSupport month-end closing activities and reconciliationsAssist with journal entries and balance sheet reviewsHelp prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysisMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedulesTreasury & TaxSupport daily treasury and cash flow activitiesAssist with bank reconciliations and cash monitoringSupport preparation of VAT and other tax-related filingsAssist with financial compliance and documentation requirementsAudit, Controls & RiskSupport internal and external audit processesHelp maintain strong financial controls and compliance proceduresAssist with risk analysis and monitoring activitiesContribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and reportingEssential SkillsStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsGood analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and team-oriented mindsetComfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environmentGood Excel skillsExperience working with ERP systems is desirable, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365Essential experience2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance rolesExperience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivableExposure to month-end close processes and reconciliationsExperience supporting audits and financial reporting activitiesBasic understanding of tax and treasury processesPrevious experience in an international or project-based environment is desirableExperience within hospitality, events, sports, or fast-paced commercial businesses is a plus
