Revlon, a leading multinational cosmetics company, is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join the R&D team in Barcelona, reporting to the Global Manager of Analytical Services.
This is a temporary position lasting 9 months and requiring full on-site presence.
The role focuses on executing analytical testing for raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with established specifications and methods, while supporting multiple R&D projects in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials and finished products following established methods and specifications
- Execute analytical techniques, including chromatography and wet chemistry, ensuring accurate data generation and interpretation
- Support investigations related to non-conformities, product issues, or alternative raw materials
- Develop, validate, and improve analytical methods in line with regulatory and GMP standards
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including reports, protocols, and validation documents
- Provide analytical support to cross-functional teams across multiple projects
- Supervise, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of laboratory equipment and workspace
- Train and support junior team members when required
- Present results and findings in a clear and structured manner
Requirements:
Technical skills
- Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (Higher Vocational Training also considered with strong experience)
- Around 3 years of experience as an analytical chemist in an industrial environment, such as cosmetics, chemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals
- Hands-on experience with chromatographic techniques (LC/GC), ideally with OpenLab software
- Experience in potentiometric titrations and general wet chemistry techniques
- Advanced level of English and Spanish
- Strong Excel and general Office skills
