About the Role
We’re looking for a visually‑driven Content Strategist to lead our creative thought leadership and demand generation content strategy. This role is accountable for producing high‑value, engaging content that resonates with humans—not just algorithms—and drives demand‑gen performance across our European markets, especially Spain, Germany, and France.
You’ll be the person who truly understands our audiences because you talk to them regularly. You’ll turn those insights into creative content campaigns (website, social, video, outbound) that reflect our brand voice while respecting the cultural nuances of our UK, French, German, and Spanish markets.
Working closely with our Content Lead and Growth Lead, you’ll bring a creative flair to every project—whether that’s launching a bold video campaign for social media or building snappy, conversion‑driving website content like interactive maps and short‑form videos. We’ll provide the tools and tech resources; you bring the vision and the energy.
A B2C background or experience as a content creator is a plus. Native or fluent proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Thought Leadership & Content Production
Research and produce short‑form, high‑value content: interactive landing pages, one‑pagers, video scripts, and more.
Develop thought leadership content that positions Spendesk as an industry authority.
Balance depth with accessibility to engage diverse audiences across the funnel in creative, unexpected ways—think beyond the traditional eBook.
Create basic visual assets using Figma, Descript, or equivalent AI tools to support demand‑gen campaigns.
Social Media
Create high‑performing social content with strong visual and video elements.
Leverage an understanding of platform algorithms and organic reach optimisation.
Identify and act on social trends that resonate with B2B audiences.
Demand Generation
Collaborate with the Growth team to create content that drives measurable demand‑gen performance.
Write ad copy and campaign messaging that resonates across channels.
Support A/B testing initiatives with variant copy and messaging.
Track content performance against demand‑gen KPIs and optimise accordingly.
Multi‑Market Content & Audience Insights
Adapt content strategy for cultural differences across the UK, France, Germany, and Spain.
Create or oversee content in German, French, or Spanish (native or fluent proficiency highly desirable).
Conduct regular customer interviews and stakeholder conversations to fuel content strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
Portfolio demonstrating creative campaigns across multiple formats (social, website, OOH—anything goes).
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different contexts and audiences.
Strong research skills with the ability to distil complex topics into accessible content.
Track record of creating content that drives measurable demand‑gen performance.
Understanding of content’s role across the full funnel—from awareness through to conversion.
Familiarity with campaign strategy and performance marketing.
Data‑driven approach to content performance and optimisation.
Understanding of cultural differences and content preferences across European markets.
Proficiency in content analytics and demand‑gen metrics (conversion rates, pipeline contribution, MQLs, etc.).
Proactive approach to adopting AI and productivity tools to maintain a high output level.
