This is a business where engineers are givenreal ownership and influence. From your first day, you’ll be trusted to shape solutions, collaborate with teams across the company, and turn complex problems into powerful AI systems.
This role isfully on-site in Madrid (5 days per week), allowing engineers to collaborate closely and move quickly on ambitious projects.Relocation support is available for candidates currently based elsewhere in Europe.The Role As an AI Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, building, and deploying intelligent systems that sit at the core of the company’s products.You’ll work closely with both technical and business teams to identify opportunities where machine learning can create measurable impact.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of AI-driven products and technical projects from concept through to production
Design and deliver machine learning models and systems that address real commercial problems
Translate business opportunities into well-defined AI and machine learning solutions
Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand and refine requirements
Challenge existing systems and processes through innovative technical thinking
Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning
Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous innovation
What We’re Looking For Technical SkillsStrong understanding ofmachine learning theorycombined with hands-on experience building real-world ML systems
Experience deployingLLM-powered applications into production
Deep understanding of areas such as:
Prompt design
Agentic workflows
Retrieval pipelines / RAG
LLM evaluation frameworksFamiliarity with LLM inference optimisation techniques including:
KV caching
Speculative decoding
Parallel decoding
Test-time compute approachesExcellent programming skills withPython, plus ideallyC++, Java, or .NET
Experience working withSQL databases
Exposure toAzure or AWS cloud platforms
Personal QualitiesPassion for programming, AI, and emerging technologies
Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership of problems
Ability to lead AI initiatives from concept to deployment
Strong interest in understanding real business challenges and translating them into technical solutions
Clear communicator who can collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues
