They have a solid international presence in over 40 countries, with subsidiaries, 11 diagnostic centres, and 6 production plants located in Europe (Spain) and America (Brazil). Research and Development are core to their expertise, with 15% of annual turnover dedicated to R&D activities focused on cutting-edge scientific advances to develop high-quality innovative vaccines. They also develop medical devices and traceability services to add value to their vaccination experience.We are seeking a talented Fully or Partially Qualified European Patent Attorney for our headquarters in Girona, Spain.ResponsibilitiesAssess innovative R&D developments with scientific staff and business units, providing IP advisory services.Prepare patent landscape and FTO analyses for EU and global R&D pipelines.Conduct state-of-the-art and patentability searches.Maintain internal IP databases.Manage global prosecution of patent rights.Draft and handle oppositions, appeal proceedings, and observations before the EPO.Provide validity opinions and infringement advice to R&D and business units.Implement confidentiality measures to protect IP.Support business development with technical expertise.RequirementsFully or partly passed EQE (European Qualifying Examination) (mandatory).Solid scientific background with a bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or related Life Science disciplines.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and preparing reports on patentability and FTO.Experience with biologicals and biotech products is preferred.Excellent command of English and Spanish; French and German are a plus.Strong technical, writing, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to analyze large data volumes and suggest actionable decisions.Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to handle IP work plans effectively.Highly responsible, meticulous, and capable of managing strict deadlines and prioritizing workloads.Reasons to JoinEngage in relevant cases and long-term projects to expand knowledge and experience.Be part of a growing multinational company with 40 subsidiaries worldwide.Work in a multicultural environment.Benefit from training and development programs.We promote equal opportunity for all employees.
