Senior Events Manager – Make Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything—from tasks and workflows to apps and systems—without the need for coding skills. We are headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, with teams across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, India and Chile. We’re looking for a senior events leader to own the vision, strategy, and execution of Make’s global events program. From growing flagship brand experiences like Waves, to accelerating commercial sponsorships, community-driven activations, and product launch moments, you will shape how events drive business growth, brand impact, and customer engagement in the fast-growing AI automation space. What you’ll do Own Make’s global events strategy: determine the mix of events (sponsorships, community, brand, customer, launch) that best serve evolving business priorities, and adapt it over time. Drive commercial outcomes: ensure events contribute to awareness, pipeline, retention, and customer growth with clear ROI, partnering with sales and sponsorship teams. Be a player‑coach: lead, mentor, and inspire a globally distributed team of event planners, agencies and freelancers, stepping in directly during peak periods. Lead vendor and partner relationships: negotiate and secure commercial agreements with agencies, venues and production partners, ensuring quality and efficiency. Integrate events into the broader GTM engine: collaborate with brand, product marketing, PR, community and sales to maximize event value across digital, social and earned channels. Deliver excellence in execution: manage on‑ground logistics and the strategic arc of flagship experiences, ensuring each event strengthens the Make brand. Spot and solve problems across the event lifecycle: anticipate and resolve challenges, building scalable programs that run smoothly without daily oversight. Partner closely with content, communications and executives: design events that tell Make’s story, showcase leadership and align with our brand narrative. Measure and optimize: set KPIs, collaborate with analytics for reporting, and evolve strategy based on impact. What we’re looking for Proven track record leading global events strategy and execution, ideally in tech/B2B/SaaS environments across multiple event types. Success designing commercially impactful event programs that balance awareness with measurable outcomes. Strong leadership skills: experience managing teams, agencies and freelancers, coaching them to connect execution to business objectives. Player‑coach mindset: comfortable owning big‑picture strategy while rolling up sleeves at critical moments. Skilled negotiator with experience managing budgets, sponsorships and vendor contracts at scale. Demonstrated ability to spot issues early, resolve complex challenges under pressure, and ensure seamless delivery of high‑stakes events. Experience designing scalable, repeatable event programs that enable teams to deliver consistently without constant oversight. Excellent cross‑functional collaboration: able to integrate events into GTM, PR, product launches and community growth, managing all relevant stakeholders.
