This hiring is subject to authorization from the Community of Madrid’s Department of Economy, Finance, and Employment.Descubra exactamente qué habilidades, experiencia y cualificaciones necesitará para tener éxito en este puesto antes de enviar su solicitud a continuación.FUNCTIONSAs a Genomics Data Analyst, the selected person will primarily carry out the following activities:Maintenance, optimization, management, and development of data analysis tools available in the Genomics Unit – FPCM, and incorporation of new tools or functionalities.Processing ofNGSdata, demultiplexing of runs, quality control of sequences, and sample processing, such as adapter trimming.Provision ofomic dataanalysis services for users of the Genomics Unit – FPCM:genomics and metagenomics, transcriptomics and metatranscriptomicsdata,single-cell analysis , high-throughput genotyping/gene expression, statistical analyses, panel analyses, and variant filtering, etc.IT and bioinformatics support for the Genomics Unit FPCM: management of equipment and servers, management of data storage systems, repositories, etc.Collaboration in training and outreach processes related to the activities of the Genomics Unit and the general activity of the FPCM.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSHold a university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in fields related toLife Sciences .Have completed aMaster’s degree in Bioinformaticsor have equivalent training.Verifiable experiencein Genomics data analysis, particularly innext-generation sequencing, real-time PCR , and/orsingle-cell analysis .Proficiency withRpackages.Ability to program automated tasks within bioinformatics analysis workflows.Knowledge and use of theLinuxOS.B2 level of English , according to the CEFR standard.Possibility ofimmediate incorporation .WHAT WE OFFERPermanent contract .Full-time positionof 39 hours per week.Immediate start.Intensive workday scheduleduring Easter, summer, and Christmas.Trainingin the latest technical and scientific advances.WORKPLACESELECTION PLANCandidates who obtain the highest score will be interviewed, provided they reach a total of 60 points in the sum of the assessable criteria (C1-C4).
