Scope of the Position The Conference and Catering Manager will oversee planning and supervision of conference and catering operations and services. Responsibilities Achieve departmental revenue goals by promoting products and services, taking ownership, and soliciting business. Maximize group revenue through referrals of goods, services, attractions, and subcontractors. Coordinate group and event requests, site inspections, and familiarization trips. Handle inquiries and qualify potential clients. Assist the Events team with proposals and follow through, ensuring client events are executed successfully. Maintain awareness of event details and account profiles. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Proactively up-sell based on customer needs. Track ongoing and completed activities in the department. Ensure proper use of event spaces. Develop, implement, and maintain departmental SOPs.
