About the Role
As Head of Mathematics, you will lead a dynamic department committed to excellence, innovation and high‑quality learning. You will model outstanding practice across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering inspiring lessons and maintaining high expectations for every student. You will shape the strategic direction of Mathematics in line with the school’s improvement plan, overseeing curriculum development, assessment processes, and quality assurance. You will champion opportunities for students by promoting international, national and local maths competitions, and you will cultivate a culture of collaboration, creativity and ambition within your team. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will play an active role in whole‑school priorities and contribute to the academic and personal development of your tutor group.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a start date in September 2026.

Who We Are Looking For
You are an enthusiastic and innovative educator with strong organisational and leadership skills. You can lead and manage a team effectively, respond sensitively to change and consistently promote high academic standards. You understand what excellent teaching, learning and assessment look like, and you bring initiative, optimism and a genuine passion for Mathematics. With experience across all secondary key stages, you are committed to helping students grow as confident, successful young people. You uphold the highest safeguarding standards and communicate confidently as a native‑level English speaker, with Spanish language skills an added advantage.
