As part of this vision, we are looking for a highly skilled Legal Advisor - Gas & Power - to join our legal team.This role will provide legal and regulatory support to our national and international gas, biomethane, power, and emissions trading operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with various business units, offering strategic legal advice to support trading activities across natural gas, LNG, biomethane, electricity, CO₂ certificates, and related hedging & futures.The responsibilities we´ll trust you withProvide legal and regulatory advice for gas, biomethane, power, and emissions trading operations, nationally and internationally.Draft, review, negotiate, and oversee legal documents, including EFET, IETA, LNG master agreements, ISDAs, CMOFs, and customized agreements such as BPAs and PPAs.Identify, analyze, and manage legal risks associated with trading operations and commercialization.Support internal and external projects impacting trading activities, including new initiatives in Commercial Integration.Provide legal assistance in claims, litigation, and arbitration, coordinating with internal teams and external law firms.Stay updated on relevant legislation, case law, and market practices; advise on regulatory lobbying.Collaborate with departments such as Legal & Assurance, Compliance, Tax, Finance, and other Group companies to ensure effective coordination.Who are we looking for?EducationBachelor’s or master’s degree in law or related field. Master’s in Energy Law or related field preferred.LanguagesFluency in English and Spanish is essential.Experience3-5 years of experience in international contracting, preferably within the energy sector. Prior experience in trading businesses or legal advisory roles within trading companies. Understanding of the energy sector and trading markets, including financial instruments and derivatives. Knowledge of national/international regulations applicable to gas and power trading activities and standard market practices.CompetencyStrong coordination and communication skills, proactivity, working effectively across countries, departments, and diverse cultural contexts. Ability to manage multiple tasks and operations simultaneously with strong problem-solving skills.
