We pride ourselves on providing high-quality glass packaging for beer, wine, spirits, food, non-alcoholic beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.Job DescriptionAs a Line Leader at O-I, you will be responsible for managing the total operation of the production line on a 24/7 basis through continuous shift operation. Your goal is to maximize production performance within safety, quality, and cost parameters. A key part of your role is to foster a team culture across all disciplines for the specific line. You will implement and refine continuous improvement ideas to enhance line performance.ResponsibilitiesEnsure correct use of safety equipment and adherence to all safety procedures.Coordinate with multiple departments to allocate resources focusing on safety, quality, furnace operation, machine repair, mold shop, maintenance, forming, inspection, and packaging.Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and develop effective actions and projects.Motivate and engage employees to meet performance expectations and goals.Develop basic technical knowledge of the glass production process.Adhere to customer quality requirements and expectations.Coordinate with shift supervisors to ensure consistency across shifts.Assist in the development, coaching, and training of production staff.QualificationsHigh School Degree or equivalent is required.Bachelor’s Degree in Production or Operations Management, Business, or related fields is preferred.At least 1 year of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in glass production.Project Management and/or Lean Certification is desirable.Understanding of Flow Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen events.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with informational systems like SAP or WorkBrain.Strong strategic thinking, facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.What We OfferOpportunities for growth and advancement.Comprehensive benefits package.A collaborative and inclusive work environment.Next StepsIf you are passionate, innovative, open-minded, and collaborative, we want to hear from you.
