The work involves practical, hands-on engineering, problem-solving and supervising technical staff: Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods for maintenance. Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work. Diagnosing breakdown problems. Directing, instructing and supervising maintenance technicians. Liaising with other departments as production, quality, engineering. Arranging procurement of spare parts and services Define and Control KPI (breakdowns/maintenance costs) Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs. Writing maintenance guidelines or procedures for maintenance. Improving maintenance technicians qualification. Create spare parts list. Set up and maintain the spare part warerhouse.
