Mechanical Project Engineer - Water (Permanent)

Mechanical Engineer & Mechanical Design Engineer (ME/MDE)
Responsibilities
Lead and execute the complete mechanical development process from architecture definition and requirements analysis to final design release.
Ensure technical quality, industrial feasibility, and compliance with project timing and cost targets while collaborating closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.
Perform mechanical design and CAD tasks: manage CAD design, stack‑up definition, documentation, simulations, and product release.
Perform engineering analyses such as FEA, thermal simulations, sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, gap analysis, clearance/creepage analysis.
Support System DFMEA and cross‑functional engineering activities.
Prepare and approve drawings and engineering documentation for manufacturing release.
Participate in supplier workshops, benchmarking activities, and CAD library improvements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design guidelines and engineering processes.
Support engineering change management processes (CR, CN, SCR, PCR).
Collaborate with laboratories for DV/PV testing, review test reports and initial samples.
Contribute to knowledge capture, documentation, and best practices within the engineering team.
Qualifications
Proficiency in mechanical design and CAD tools: CATIA, NX or similar.
Experience with mechanical stack‑up design and tolerance analysis.
Knowledge of CFD and FEA simulations.
Experience with prototyping and mechanical testing.
Analytical engineering methods: sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo, clearance and insulation analysis.
Configuration management experience (SVN or similar).
Cost estimation and lean engineering principles.
Technical documentation and drawing standards (DXF, engineering documentation).
Critical thinking and engineering judgement.
