This role involves analyzing, annotating, and translating data in Galician, English, and Spanish to improve AI model quality and relevance.Key DutiesEvaluation, annotation, and content creation tasks aimed at improving AI models ensuring accuracy, relevance, and linguistic quality.Translate, localize and proofread a variety of content from English and/or Spanish to Galician.Post‑edit raw Machine Translation output.EducationBachelor’s degree in Translation, Language Studies, Applied Linguistics, Humanities, Information and Documentation Science, Linguistics, Philology, Political Sciences, Primary Education, Social Sciences, Translation, or related fields (or equivalent experience).Essential Knowledge and Professional ExperienceFluency in Galician, English, and Spanish.Familiarity with AI content generation or with linguistic annotation tools.Proven experience in translation, localisation or similar roles in Galician, English and Spanish.Strong creative and technical writing skills.Strong understanding of sociological concepts, like implicit biases, intersectionality, social stereotyping, and human rights/ethics.Additional Knowledge and Professional ExperienceStrong understanding of AI systems and hands‑on experience in prompt engineering and utilizing LLMs.Previous experience in annotation and use of different tools.CompetencesExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality standards.Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and tools.Ability to collaborate with a team and/or work independently, maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Galician, English and Spanish.Strong analytical skills.Data exploration skills.ConditionsLocation: BSC within the Life Sciences Department.Contract: Part‑time (30h/week).
