This infrastructure supports mission‑critical Financial Markets applications such as KDB, Ullink, MarketView, GEP, and Horizon — platforms central to our client’s trading activities on exchanges such as Eurex Frankfurt.As a Network Engineer, you will ensure our network infrastructure remains secure, performant, resilient, and scalable.Focus and prioritiesBusiness as Usual & License to OperateMonitor network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and ensure uptimePerform incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution within SLAHandle configuration changes (VLANs, routing, switching, firewall rules)Support VPN connectivity (site-to-site and remote access)Work with ISPs and vendors for issue resolutionMaintain network documentation and diagramsParticipate in shift-based or on-call support (if required)Daily operational support activitiesL2/L3 troubleshooting across network and related servicesPlatform support for a wide range of internal application teamsPatch and Vulnerability ManagementManage and implement patching processes for network devices to ensure systems are up to date and secureIdentify, assess, and remediate network vulnerabilities using standard security tools and best practicesPerform regular vulnerability scans and coordinate timely fixes to minimize security risksEnsure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards through effective patch and vulnerability managementArchitecture & Design Support (Primary Requirement)You will actively support the Network Architect in:Gathering and clarifying new network requirementsPreparing High-Level and Low-Level designsValidating design proposals and documenting technical impactsSupporting PoC (Proof of Concept) activitiesAssisting in the delivery and implementation of new network solutionsOur way of workingWe use Scrum and Continuous Delivery engineering practices. You participate in the full lifecycle of our systems — from design and build to test, deploy, operate, and decommission. Your work has direct impact on our client’s operational reliability and customer experience.Your work environmentYou will collaborate closely with enthusiastic, highly skilled colleagues from the client Hubs Romania and Amsterdam.
