Vulcain is looking for an experienced Nuclear Safety Engineer to reinforce its safety activities with ITER Project.Based in Barcelona, you will contribute to nuclear safety studies and verification activities for fusion facilities, including on-site inspections of systems, components, and installations related to the project.As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:Performing and updating nuclear safety analyses (accident analyses, deterministic and probabilistic studies)Defining, reviewing, and verifying nuclear safety requirements applicable to systems and componentsPreparing and reviewing nuclear safety documentation (technical reports, safety files, regulatory deliverables)Conducting on-site inspections and technical assessments at supplier or project sitesParticipating in design reviews and safety meetingsInterfacing with engineering teams, safety authorities, and international stakeholdersCarrying out occasional travel within Europe in support of the ITER projectMaster’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a specialization in nuclear safety or nuclear engineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear safety engineeringExperience in large-scale industrial or nuclear projects is highly valuedStrong knowledge of nuclear safety standards, methods, and regulatory frameworksFluent English (working language)Position based in Barcelona, offering an excellent quality of lifeHybrid working model, with remote work possibilitiesParticipation in a world-class international fusion energy projectYou identify with the values of openness, teamwork, care and performance that are central to the Group.
