We are Europe’s fastest-growing non-food discounter, operating a rapidly expanding logistics network with 16 Distribution Centres across NL, FR, DE, PL, ES, IT and SK. In June 2025, we opened our first DC in Spain (Illescas, Toledo) to further support our growth in the Iberian market. Action is now moving to the next level by opening a new insourced Distribution Centre in Banyeres del Penedès, Tarragona.
Your mission
As the Operations Manager, you will partner with the DC Manager to drive operational excellence across our Distribution Center in Banyeres del Penedès. You will take ownership of your department’s daily workflows, with a strict focus on optimizing performance, maximizing productivity, and ensuring the safety and security of all operational processes.
Key accountabilities and areas of responsibility
Operational Management
Operational management of people and processes ensuring the highest quality and efficiency
Manages the applicable key logistics, KPI’s and personnel costs
Translates general logistics guidelines into the department’s own guidelines and sets priorities
Ensures availability of all necessary equipment and means for the department to be able to get the job done
Ensures compliance with labour/environmental/safety laws and regulations
Result oriented
Achieves key financial and operative targets
People Management
Leads a team, takes charge, plans operations and activities so that goals are successfully achieved
Is actively involved in improving direct reports’ skills by providing constructive feedback, instructions, explanation and coaching.
Motivates direct reports, clearly demonstrates the intended impact of goals, fosters a positive attitude towards work and inspires strong performance among team members.
Provides direct and constructive feedback on performance and personal development in relation to future requirements and priorities
Responsible for an optimal staffing, recruitment activities and retaining of direct and indirect reports within the department

What we are looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
At least 3 years of working experience in a similar job preferably in a retail/logistics environment
Fluent in English and Spanish, Catalan is highly valued
SAP S4 and Business Object knowledge is highly valued
Experienced with (indirect) managing a large number of employees
Works efficiently and effectively, even under time pressure
Is highly organised, can structure activities and projects, adheres to agreements in a timely manner and in accordance with guidelines
Your day to day at work will take place at the DC in Banyeres de Penedès Distribution Center this is an on-site position, full-time presence.
