Job Description Job Description EduTalent Group are working with a leading British International School in Spain who are seeking a Pre Prep School Deputy Head to join the team in January 2026 . The school delivers the British National Curriculum and has a strong reputation for academic success and outstanding pastoral care. This role will lead the pastoral provision for pupils from Pre Nursery to Year 3, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment where children develop confidence, curiosity and strong personal values. You will also play a key role in promoting high-quality teaching and learning throughout the Pre Prep School. The position sits within the Senior Leadership Team and includes line management responsibilities, involvement in safeguarding as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and contribution to whole school strategic development. Working closely with the Head of Pre Prep School and senior colleagues, you will support staff, lead curriculum and assessment development, and oversee behaviour and wellbeing across the phase. Requirements A good honours degree from a British university A PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Evidence of effective middle leadership or some senior leadership experience Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 Proven success in leading teaching and learning and supporting staff development A strong background in SEND and inclusion Native level spoken and written English Confident in the use of safeguarding procedures; experience within a safeguarding leadership role is desirable Experience working in a UK independent school or in a British international school environment is preferred All appointments are subject to safeguarding checks, including references and ACRO Criminal Records Office clearance.
