Folch, a Samson Company, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Plant Production Manager for its plant in Barcelona (Llinars del Valles). Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. This role offers a real opportunity for personal and professional growth.Job Duties:Manages all aspects of production: planning, maintenance, personnel, and safety.Coordinates technical needs, resources, planning, etc. with corporate headquarters in the United States.Coordinates and agrees on internal and external needs for delivery deadlines and priorities with the sales team as needed.Coordinates with manufacturing engineering for the implementation and improvement of production processes and new production lines.Identifies the need for all production operating supplies, equipment needs, and personnel requirements and reviews or makes recommendations to the Site Manager.Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.Maintain an awareness of production progress and problems on all shifts.Develop team members through effective coaching, performance management, and training.Assist team members as needed and oversee resolution of operational issues that affect business objectives.Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Site Manager.Qualifications:Education: BA / BS in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role may substitute for education, preferably in textiles or mechanicsExperience: Minimum of 5 years production manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Desired: Lean manufacturing processes experience.Language: Ability to fluently speak English.Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to build relationships at all levels in the organization as required by the position and to work well with a diverse group of individuals.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, have a strong attention to detail, and present information in a concise and effective way.Knowledge and understanding of local and national safety regulations; possess a strong personal commitment to safety.Ability to provide leadership, build teams, manage and develop staff.Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs.Analytical and quantitative skillsCreative problem solving, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions.Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.Salary:€40,000 - €50,000 depending on experience.Potential for annual bonus.About Us:Samson is a team with 140 years in the rope industry focused on meeting the needs of demanding customer applications.
