Role Purpose
The Production Manager will lead and coordinate mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, warehouse management, and subcontractor management within industrial machinery projects for the labels & packaging sector, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards, cost targets, and safety regulations in an international manufacturing environment.
Additionally, the role will drive the warehouse transformation by implementing a GSA (Advanced Warehouse Management System), optimizing traceability, inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and operational performance.
A strong continuous improvement mindset is essential to foster operational excellence under Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and supervise mechanical and electrical assembly of industrial machinery for the labels & packaging industry.
Coordinate human and technical resources in an international machinery manufacturing environment.
Manage warehouse operations (inventory control, supply planning, stock optimization, and traceability).
Design, implement, and lead the GSA system for advanced warehouse management.
Lead structural and operational warehouse transformation aligned with Lean principles.
Manage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.
Implement and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
Ensure delivery deadlines and cost targets are achieved.
Define, monitor, and analyze production and logistics KPIs.
Ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Project Management departments.
Requirement
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in industrial machinery manufacturing, preferably within the labels & packaging or capital goods sector.
Solid experience in Lean Manufacturing.
Experience implementing or transforming warehouse management systems (GSA, WMS, or similar).
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in industrial environments.Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
Experience in an international environment is a plus.
