Responsibilities
Manage the Pathology Unit certified in ISO ****:**** and ISO *****:****.
Oversee equipment and techniques in Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Administration, and Optical & Laser Microscopy.
Provide histopathological evaluation and diagnosis upon researchers' requests.
Manage the Coordinating Node of BEOCyL located in the Pathology Unit, composed of six Networked Biobanks across Castilla y León.
Supervise senior technicians in Pathological Anatomy at each Biobank.
Ensure quality control of stored human oncological tissue samples at each Biobank.
Manage and retrieve samples requested by researchers for their projects.
General Requirements
Nationality: Spanish, EU, or foreign with residence and work permit for Spain.
Legal capacity: at least 18 years old and able to contract under Spanish law.
Functional capacity: no mental or physical limitation preventing duty performance.
Authorisation: non-Spanish applicants must prove no disciplinary sanction or criminal conviction.
Qualification: hold the required degree or diploma for the post and professional category.
International Qualifications Must Be Accredited Or Equivalence Certified.
Position‑Specific Requirements
Degree in Medicine and Surgery with a specialty in Pathological Anatomy or Degree in Veterinary Medicine with training in Pathology.
Training and experience or strong motivation to learn under the current Supervisor, in managing a Pathology Unit supporting Basic Research.
Samples are predominantly transgenic murine animals and rats, with occasional human tissues for translational research.
Training and experience or strong motivation to learn under the current Supervisor, in the Technical Coordination of BEOCyL.
